Job Title: Marine Supervisor

Reports to: Floating Production Unit Master


Job Purpose:

  1. Responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant execution of marine operations onboard the FPU.
  2. The role ensures marine activities are conducted in accordance with regulatory requirements, Company management systems, and operational priorities while supporting asset integrity and production continuity.


Financial Perspective:

• Support asset uptime by minimizing marine-related downtime and operational disruptions.

• Contribute to cost control through efficient marine operations, logistics coordination, and resource utilization.

• Prevent financial exposure by ensuring compliance with marine regulations, procedures, and charter requirements.

• Support cost-effective planning of marine activities and consumables.


Organization Perspective:

• No. of Indirect Report: 7 pax


Principal Accountabilities


Implementation of Management System & Risk Assessment:

• Implement and comply with the Company HSSE MS and Field MS (FMS).

• Ensure marine operations follow approved procedures, risk assessments, and permits.

• Participate in HIRA/JSA, toolbox talks, and marine safety meetings.

• Identify, report, and escalate hazards, near misses, and non-conformances.

• Stop work and escalate when marine risks are not adequately controlled.


Marine Operations & Process Assurance:

• Ensure safe execution of marine operations within approved operational limits i.e. prepare and startup marine & cargo operations.

• Monitor and maintain marine & cargo operations i.e. ballast, stability, draft, trim, and mooring integrity.

• Ensure readiness for tank entry, inspection and maintenance activities.

• Support offloading, bunkering, towing, and SIMOPS activities.

• Ensure compliance with Flag State, Class, and statutory marine requirements.

• Escalate abnormal conditions, weather risks, or marine system deficiencies.


Maintenance & Marine Readiness:

• Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure marine equipment readiness.

• Support inspection, testing, and maintenance of marine systems

• Verify equipment reinstatement and readiness post-maintenance.

• Maintain marine housekeeping and preservation standards.


People & Crew Management:

• Supervise and coordinate marine crew during shifts.

• Ensure crew competence, certification, and task readiness.

• Support mentoring and on-the-job training of junior marine personnel.

• Promote strong safety leadership and operational discipline.


Stakeholder & Interface Management:

• Interface with Production, Maintenance, Logistics, and Offshore Management.

• Liaise with vessel masters, service providers, and marine contractors.

• Support audits, inspections, and client engagements.

• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of marine activities and issues.


Emergency Response:

• Developing critical situations (operational, weather, equipment failure, leaks, fires personnel etc) are identified and positive action is taken to limit escalation and to maintain control using applied policies or procedures or initiative.

• Manage emergency response with due regards for safety of personnel, FPU and environment.

• Actively participate as a member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT).

• Support emergency drills, exercises, and preparedness activities.

• Take immediate actions to safeguard personnel, asset, and environment during emergencies.


Monitor ad Maintain Pollution Control Measure:

• Controlled process discharges from area of responsibility to the environment are within prescribed limits.

• Unplanned discharges are identified, halted where possible, and reported according to policy, procedure and regulation

• Equipment, waste or other materials for disposal are dealt with according to the correct procedure

• Controlled process discharges

• Managing marine operations in a live production environment.

• Coordinating SIMOPS with multiple onboard and external parties.

• Operating under adverse weather and sea conditions.

• Maintaining compliance with stringent marine regulatory requirements.

Competencies, Experience, Qualifications:

Experience:

• Minimum 7 year of relevant working experience in Marine and Oil & Gas Operations

• Experience supporting offloading, mooring, and marine SIMOPS.

• Exposure to audits, inspections, and marine assurance activities.

• Valid offshore safety and medical certification (e.g. BOSIET/HUET).

• ISM/ISPS and marine safety training desirable.


Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in marine engineering, mechanical, or a related discipline.

• Minimum as per STCW Reg. All/2 Chief Officer Unlimited

• 3 years as OOW (Officer on Watch) — Chief Officer experience desirable
