Purpose of position

The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing a wide range of general maintenance and repair tasks to ensure that facilities, equipment, and environments are functional, safe, and well-maintained. The role includes work in handyman maintenance, painting, plumbing, welding, carpentry, scaffolding, and housekeeping duties. Offshore experience is a bonus and highly regarded.

Scope

The Maintenance Technician handles multiple technical and manual disciplines across facility and structural maintenance, minor construction, and housekeeping tasks. This multi-skilled role requires hands-on capabilities in general repairs and an ability to work independently or as part of a team in remote or offshore environments.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities


Generral Maintenance & Handyman Duties

Perform minor repairs and upkeep of facility infrastructure including doors, walls, ceilings, lighting, and fixtures.

Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs.

Painting

Prepare surfaces and apply paint, varnish, or other finishes to interior and exterior surfaces.

Ensure high-quality finishing and neat execution.

Plumbing

Install, maintain, and repair piping systems and fixtures.

Respond to leaks, clogs, and general plumbing issues efficiently.

Welding

Join and repair metal structures using MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques.

Read blueprints and follow project specifications.


Carpentry

Construct and repair wooden frameworks, furniture, partitions, and fittings.

Operate hand tools and power tools safely and accurately.

Scaffolding

Assemble and dismantle scaffold structures in compliance with safety regulations.

Conduct regular safety checks on scaffold systems.

Cleaning/Housekeeping

Perform general cleaning, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and waste disposal.

Ensure hygiene and tidiness in workspaces and communal areas.
