Qualification & Experience (Requirements):
• Candidate shall be Civil Engineering Graduate / Postgraduate, having 15 to 20 years. experience in EPCC/EPCM Company in Oil & Gas Sector, with minimum 10 years and relevant experience in offshore industry.
• Out of the total experience, candidate shall have at least 5-year experience working as Lead Engineer & 5-year, experience as Dy. Lead Engineer leading structural effort on an offshore FEED/Conceptual and Detailed Engineering
• Strong analytical skill to interpret and utilize Computer Aided Design output from design suites like SACS, USFOS, SESAM, for Linear and non-linear offshore structural analysis on both Fixed Jacket and Topside (e.g., Fatigue, Ultimate and Accidental Limit States, Ship impact) – particularly, SESAM, USFOS and SACS
• Demonstrate strong understanding of Offshore Structure design, fabrication, construction, offshore installation & maintenance. Skill in offshore structure design and analysis using industry codes like ISO19000 series, AISC, API RP, and DNV RP. It is strongly preferred that the incumbent be familiar and has worked with Shell International Design Engineering Procedures (DEP’s).
Job Function, Task and Responsibility (Scope):
• Identify scope and schedule changes in accordance with the Change Control Process.
• Prepare estimates and schedules and assist in their review.
• Review and approve Engineering deliverable and Material Take-off
• Plan, schedule, and execute the activities under the Structural discipline.
• Must be familiar with detailed study of loads and loading combinations used for offshore design.
• Shall be able to perform and review FEM analysis for typical joint connections.
• Have practical experience in design and construction engineering, including offshore installation of jackets, decks, bridges and packaged units.
• Perform structural engineering from concept design to detailed design for design of grillage and sea fastening, lift points, lifting appliances and installation aids.
• Have practical experience in various analyses such as In place, lifting, load out, floatation, upending, dynamic and fatigue analysis for the green field structures. Detailed design, materials requisition, fabrication and onshore and offshore installation
• Have practical experience in various analyses such as onshore platforms, pipe rack, equipment foundation (with Vibration analysis).
• Resolve technical queries and recommend solutions to engineering problems related to structural elements.
• Strong understanding of Safety Critical Element and Performance Standards.
• Shall participate in 3D model, HAZID, & constructability review and provide Engineering solutions.
• Able to go offshore when required during key activities.
• Responsible for scope Design & Drawing Verification of Fixed offshore platforms, MTO & Cost control, and Schedule & MH control.
• Interface coordination and meetings on critical issues with Client / Vendors / Construction Fabrication Yards / Project / other Engineering departments.
